Alexandra Schraiber, senior manager of fire research and development, is among the recipients of the annual "5 Under 35 Award" presented by the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE).
The accolade recognizes rising leaders who are contributing to the fire protection engineering profession and the local community through their leadership skills, professional growth and volunteerism.
Schraiber, who has expertise in thermal runaway, battery safety, energy storage systems and large-scale fire testing, joined UL Solutions in 2017.
Schraiber earned a Master of Science in fire protection engineering from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
