April 17, 2026 - The City of St. Petersburg is proud to announce the businesses selected for the 2026 Legacy Business Program, an initiative dedicated to honoring and supporting the locally owned businesses that have helped define the character and culture of St. Pete for generations. This year's honorees represent diverse industries and neighborhoods, each with profound roots in the community.

"Congratulations to the inaugural honorees of the 2026 Legacy Business Program! We are incredibly proud to recognize and uplift businesses that have stood the test of time and shaped our community," said Mayor Kenneth T. Welch. "The longevity of these establishments did not happen by accident; it was earned through commitment, consistency, and deep community connection. Through this program, we look forward to supporting the continued success and growth of legacy businesses for generations to come."

The honorees selected for the 2026 Legacy Business Program are:

Legacy Business finalists who were not selected as honorees remain eligible for future consideration in the program. All eligible Legacy Businesses will be recognized with a Legacy Business storefront decal and certificate during Small Business Week (May 4-8, 2026)

The Legacy Business Program is designed to honor, uplift, and preserve our Legacy Businesses and acknowledge their invaluable contributions and the essential role they play in the heartbeat of the city we call home. Businesses designated as St. Pete Legacy Businesses receive public recognition and promotional support from the City, along with access to resources that help long-standing businesses thrive and succeed. Additional opportunities and support for selected businesses include events, training, and panel discussions focused on long-standing business needs.
