"Throughout this historic Republican shutdown, House Democrats have stood unwavering in our fight to protect health care for millions of Americans.
And I will continue to stand strong for the people.

"This Senate vote betrays that fight and the people who depend on it. As Americans lose access to affordable care and face skyrocketing costs right now, that suffering falls squarely on Republicans in power who have failed the nation they swore to serve.
