Celebrating the Clapham Park Residents’ Art Show

28 October 2026

Summary: Residents, artists and community partners come together to celebrate the first-ever Clapham Park Residents' Art Show, showcasing the creativity, talent and stories of local people.

Residents, artists and community partners came together this week to celebrate the opening of the first-ever Clapham Park Residents' Art Show, showcasing the creativity, talent and stories of local people.

Held at The Hub in Clapham Park, the exhibition brings together a diverse collection of artwork exploring the theme of Home. Selected through an open call to artists living in Clapham Park and the surrounding area, the exhibition features paintings, textiles, sculptures and collages that offer personal reflections on what home means to those who live and create in the community.

Alongside the competition entries, visitors can also enjoy work produced through community arts projects delivered across Clapham Park. Highlights include artwork from a summer mural project at Glenbrook Primary School, facilitated by award-winning Brixton-based arts organisation Art4Space and funded by the Clapham Park regeneration partnership. Photography and audio installations developed through earlier community projects also form part of the exhibition.

A key theme of the show is celebrating local talent. From resident artists and Community Curators to the exhibition photographer, caterers and local print suppliers, the event shines a spotlight on the skills and creativity that exist within the Clapham Park community.

Rosalyn Springer, Social Value Partnership Manager and Lead Curator, said:

"It was a pleasure to curate the Resident Art Show and demonstrate what is possible when we create space for creativity and centre local people in everything we do.

"The private view brought together residents of all ages, community partners and stakeholders to celebrate local talent. The exhibition shows that regeneration is about much more than new buildings. It is about investing in people, creating opportunities, supporting creativity and helping residents play an active role in shaping their neighbourhood."

The exhibition builds on the success of Clapham Park's Summer Programme, which engaged residents in a range of creative activities designed to support wellbeing, community connections and self-expression.

By providing a platform for local artists to showcase their work close to home, the exhibition highlights the important role that arts, culture and community participation play in the ongoing transformation of Clapham Park.

The Clapham Park Residents' Art Show is open to visitors from 10AM-4PM until 30 October at The Hub, Mullins Place, SW4 8EU, with free admission for all.
