Chair Cassidy, Senate Republicans Continue to Deliver President Trump’s Agenda, Confirm Nearly 100 Trump Nominees

WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA), chair of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee, released a statement after the U.S. Senate confirmed an additional 97 of President Trump's nominees this week, eight of which came out of the HELP Committee. Under Cassidy's leadership, the Committee has voted to advance 32 of Trump's nominees, all of whom have been confirmed by the Senate.

"Getting President Trump's team in place is critical to delivering results for the American people," said Dr. Cassidy. "As Chairman of the HELP Committee, I'm committed to advancing President Trump's pro-worker, pro-family, pro-patient agenda."

The nominees were confirmed by a vote of 53-43.

The confirmed nominees this week include:

  • Mary Anne Carter to serve as Chairperson of the National Endowment for the Arts.
  • Scott Mayer to serve as a Member of the National Labor Relations Board.
  • Jeremiah Workman to serve as Assistant Secretary of Labor for Veterans' Employment and Training, Department of Labor.
  • Anthony D'Esposito to serve as Inspector General, Department of Labor.
  • Crystal Carey to serve as General Counsel of the National Labor Relations Board.
  • James Murphy to serve as a Member of the National Labor Relations Board.
  • Rosario Palmieri to serve as Assistant Secretary of Labor for Policy, Department of Labor.
  • Henry Mack III to serve as Assistant Secretary of Labor for the Employment and Training Administration, Department of Labor.
