Entergy’s Louisiana utilities Tropical Storm Arthur update – 6/18/2026, 6:30 p.m.

NEW ORLEANS - Entergy crews have made significant progress today following overnight severe weather events across Louisiana, bringing outages down to just 3,000 from a peak of more than 37,000. At this time, we anticipate all Entergy New Orleans customers, who can safely receive power, will be fully restored by this evening. For Entergy Louisiana, the majority of customers, who can safely receive power, will be restored tonight, with a small number of customers in the hardest hit areas remaining without power until tomorrow. Our crews will continue working safely and efficiently until every customer is restored.

The safety of our employees, customers and communities always comes first.

Customers should remain mindful of safety hazards that may be present after a storm, such as downed power lines and debris. Always assume downed power lines are energized and keep a safe distance. To report an outage or hazardous condition, please use our online customer service channels or call 1-800-9OUTAGE (1-800-968-8243).

We encourage our customers to stay informed by visiting our online outage map , which provides the most up-to-date information on outage locations and estimated restoration times once available. The map is updated in real time as new information becomes available.

Make sure your home or business is ready for us to restore your power.

Customers whose neighborhoods have been restored but are still without power may have damage to electrical equipment attached to their home or business.

We cannot restore power to a location with a damaged meter base, conduit or weatherhead (the metal pipe extending upward from the structure with electrical cables inside). These repairs must be made by a qualified electrician before Entergy can restore power. Learn more about the electrical equipment that serves your home .

• Check for damage to your weatherhead , meter base or service entrance.

• If damage is present, contact a licensed electrician to make repairs.

• If equipment appears undamaged, text OUT to 36778 or call 1-800-9OUTAGE (800-968-8243).

• After repairs are completed, call 1-800-ENTERGY (800-368-3749) to request service reconnection.

• Text us: If you are signed up to receive our notifications, you can text OUT to 36778 to report an outage or STAT for the status of your power outage.
