Alexandria Police Investigating Shooting on Swann Avenue
Alexandria, VA - The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a shots-fired incident that occurred last night near Swann Avenue and Oakville Street.
At approximately 9:01 p.m., officers responded to the area and located one individual suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition.
This incident remains under investigation. Detectives are continuing to gather information and review evidence to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
The Alexandria Police Department is asking residents who were in the area at the time, or who may have seen or heard anything related to this incident, to come forward. Anyone with information, including video footage from security cameras, doorbell cameras, or dash cameras, is encouraged to contact police.
