Dear colleagues,

As the year draws to an end, I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your hard work and dedication. When I entered this role in July, I said that the public service was one of Canada's great institutions. After several months of working with talented and dedicated colleagues, I stand by those words.

You have gone above and beyond to make a real difference for Canadians in a challenging time for our country. And thanks to your efforts, we enter the new year stronger for it. 2025 has challenged us to think differently about what we do and how we do it. In the face of that change, you have shown flexibility and resiliency. Most of all, you've shown commitment to the important work that is underway. For that I am very grateful.

I am proud of the work you have accomplished and the impact we have had so far. This year's many achievements belong to all of you. I look forward to what we can do together in 2026.

Please take this period to rest, recharge and spend time with family, friends and loved ones.
