Meeting of Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan with DFA Undersecretary of the Philippines Charles C. Jose

On October 16, in Kampala, on the sidelines of the Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan had a meeting with Charles C. Jose, the Undersecretary for Multilateral Affairs and International Economic Relations of the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines.

The sides expressed willingness to further deepen the close cooperation between Armenia and the Philippines within multilateral fora and international organizations. In this context, the parties particularly emphasized the positive partnership established within the Like-Minded Group for Middle-Income Countries.

Issues on the regional and international agenda were touched upon. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia briefed his counterpart on the latest developments in the South Caucasus. Deputy Foreign Minister Robert Abisoghomonyan presented the "Crossroads of Peace" initiative of the Government of Armenia, emphasizing the importance of unblocking regional communications.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17), to be hosted by Armenia in 2026.
