‘God Blessed Texas’ in Roland as Little Texas heads to Cherokee Casino Nov. 20

ROLAND, Okla. - Known for their musicianship, songwriting and authenticity, country band Little Texas are heading to the Lee Creek Tavern stage inside Cherokee Casino & Hotel Roland on Friday, Nov. 20, at 8 p.m.

In 2026, Little Texas celebrates 35 years since its debut single, "Some Guys Have All the Love," reached country radio and broke into the Top 10. That single launched the band's successful run during the '90s country music boom.

The band has amassed 12 singles in the Top 20, including three consecutive No. 1 hits: "My Love," "What Might Have Been" and "God Blessed Texas." The third became a fan favorite and an unofficial Texas anthem. The band has sold more than 7 million albums and ranks among the most successful touring acts of the '90s.

The group's sophomore album, "Big Time," earned double-platinum certification and Grammy, Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music nominations. In 1994, Little Texas won the ACM Award for Top Vocal Group.

"God Blessed Texas" earned renewed recognition in 2024, when Billboard ranked it No. 1 on its list of the best country songs featuring Texas in the title. That same year, Lainey Wilson opened the ACM Awards with her rendition of the song.

A 2024 tribute album, "A Lone Star Salute to Little Texas," brought together 23 Texas artists to reinterpret six of the band's hits. Contributors included Randy Rogers Band, Pat Green, Casey Donahew, Aaron Watson, Rodney Crowell, Josh Abbott Band, Kevin Fowler, Eli Young Band and George Birge.

Today, Little Texas continues to tour nationally, bringing its hits and high-energy live performances to audiences across the country.

The show is free to those 21 and older.
