CHICAGO --- Through her work with her non-profit organization, Fair Fight Action, voting rights activist Stacey Abrams has made it her life's mission to address voter suppression throughout the U.S., including in Georgia where she served for a decade in the House of Representatives.

To delve deep into these topics, the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law is hosting, "Politics: Building the Future We Want - A Conversation with Stacey Abrams," which will take place at noon on Wednesday, Nov. 19, at Thorne Auditorium, 375 E. Chicago Ave., on the Chicago campus.

Members of the media interested in covering the conversation with Abrams must RSVP by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 12 by emailing Shanice Harris at [email protected]. Northwestern community members who wish to attend must register here. The program will be presented in-person only.

In the conversation moderated by Sherrese Smith (JD '96), Global Managing Partner, Paul Hastings LLP, Abrams will discuss working to solve real problems for everyday people, how the forces of business and politics converge and how individuals can make an impact and help to shape the future.

An annual event, the Knox Conversations speaker series was established to create space for an open exchange of ideas, public debate and respectful discourse on matters of importance to the legal and Law School community.
