"To the next generation, this is where your story begins." - Lewis Hamilton.
The way athletes are discovered, followed and defined is changing and EA SPORTS is building for what comes next.
Today, EA SPORTS unveiled its GEN / EA SPORTS anthem film and expanded the platform with the signing of its first-ever high school athlete, Elijah Haven, No.1 Quarterback in the Class of 2027.
GEN / EA SPORTS is how EA SPORTS connects the next generation of athletes to the fans and communities that will define their careers and grow with them along the way.
Powered by EA SPORTS' unique position at the intersection of sport, gaming and entertainment, GEN / EA SPORTS partners with athletes earlier in their journey and helps shape how they show up across gameplay, content and culture.
GEN / EA SPORTS doesn't just tell athlete stories, it embeds them into how fans experience sport every day. Across content, live experiences, and participation across the EA SPORTS ecosystem, GEN / EA SPORTS doesn't just tell athlete stories-it makes fans part of them. Across content, live experiences, and gameplay, fans don't just watch athletes' journey, they help shape it.
"GEN / EA SPORTS is about connecting the next generation of athletes and fans," said John Reseburg, VP of Marketing, Partnerships & Communications for EA SPORTS. "It starts by showing up earlier and backing athletes not just as competitors, but as culture shapers who are building something bigger around them. That's what makes this moment powerful. Partnering with Lewis Hamilton brings the perspective of an icon who has lived this journey, and champions what's next in a way only he can."
Today, EA SPORTS expands GEN / EA SPORTS with the signing of Elijah Haven, the program's fifth athlete and first high school athlete, offering a first look at how GEN / EA SPORTS is built to grow with athletes from the very beginning.
A rising senior and dual-sport athlete committed to football at the next level, Haven represents where sport is headed: competitive, creative and digitally native. Off the field, his world includes music, drumming and filmmaking - passions that shape how he connects with fans and expresses himself.
By partnering together at this stage of his journey, EA SPORTS is reinforcing what GEN / EA SPORTS stands for: backing athletes early, supporting their full identity, and growing alongside them as their careers evolve with fans along for every step.
"GEN / EA SPORTS is about the future and that's what I'm focused on. I'm working toward the next level in football, but I'm also building my voice and my creativity," said Haven. "To have EA SPORTS believe in that this early in my journey means everything."
At the core of GEN / EA SPORTS is a simple belief: athletes aren't defined by a single highlight or headline. Today's athletes are built long before the spotlight in content, community and the moments fans follow in real time.
They are creators, entrepreneurs, builders and culture shapers that extend beyond the field into music, fashion, streaming, mentorship and the digital spaces where the next generation gathers.
GEN / EA SPORTS is built to support that full picture. Working with athletes for the long run, giving them space to be themselves, tell their stories, and connect with fans in ways that feel real. From career milestones to personal passions, GEN / EA SPORTS reflects a new model of athlete development: collaborative, continuous, and shaped with the communities that follow them.
GEN / EA SPORTS is a long-term commitment to athletes and fans, designed to grow alongside the generation shaping the future of sport.
It will continue to grow, introducing new athletes, new stories and new ways for fans to engage across the EA SPORTS ecosystem. From the start of journeys like Elijah's to the defining moments the world sees, GEN / EA SPORTS shows up across the full arc of an athlete's career.
This is how EA SPORTS is building the future of sport. Whether inside our experiences or beyond, EA SPORTS is connecting athletes and fans whistle blows but from the beginning and everywhere in between.
Follow EA SPORTS on Instagram, TikTok, X, and Facebook, and keep up with the GEN / EA SPORTS athletes across social and the EA SPORTS APP, as the journey continues.
