Huscroft Promoted at Mutual of Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. - Mutual of Omaha has promoted Laura Huscroft to Senior Vice President of Health and Annuity Solutions at Mutual of Omaha. She oversees strategy, operations and growth for individual health insurance, individual annuity products and special risk products. Huscroft is responsible for achieving the financial results of these important product lines, modernizing technology, expanding distribution and developing innovative solutions to help customers manage their care needs, create financial security and protect what they care about.

Huscroft started at Mutual of Omaha as an actuarial intern and progressed through several actuarial roles before becoming managing actuary and eventually financial actuarial director, where she led the company's enterprise risk management program. She later served as vice president of risk management, overseeing risk policies, executive committees and external compliance matters. In 2019, she became vice president of 401(k). In this role, Huscroft led the company's retirement services division before eventually recommending and executing a divestiture of the company's recordkeeping business in mid-2024. Most recently, she was vice president and actuary, driving enterprise strategic initiatives focused on business transformation and customer persistency.

Huscroft earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and holds FINRA registrations (SIE, Series 6 and 63).

Huscroft's leadership and community involvement includes Leadership Omaha Class No. 46 through the Greater Omaha Chamber, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Actuarial Science Young Alumni Board, Nebraska Actuaries Club, Latino Employee Connect (co-sponsor), and volunteer service with St. Columbkille Catholic Church.
