Ascension St. Vincent Evansville Among Nation’s Best for Low MRSA Rates

As evidence of continued dedication to patient safety and quality of care, Ascension St. Vincent Evansville is being recognized as the only hospital in southwestern Indiana with a MRSA infection rate of zero by Becker's Hospital Review.

"Safety is top of mind for us, and in every step of a patient's journey", said Alexander Chang, President, Ascension St. Vincent South Region. "This recognition from Becker's reflects our dedication to the highest standard of care, ensuring a safe, clean and comfortable healing environment for our patients."

Ascension St. Vincent Evansville is one of only 280 hospitals nation-wide to be recognized based on data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, showing how often patients get specific infections while they're receiving medical care.

The data is sourced from all patients treated in acute care hospitals, including adult, pediatric, neonatal, Medicare and non-Medicare patients.
