The Delaware Division of Alcohol & Tobacco Enforcement (DATE) has arrested Margaret Munro, 60, of Dover on charges stemming from an unlicensed wine manufacturing operation conducted through Pale Moon Wine LLC.
The investigation began after the Maryland Alcohol, Tobacco, and Cannabis Commission notified DATE that products from Pale Moon Wine LLC were being sold at establishments in Maryland. Investigators determined the products originated in Delaware and that the firm lacked the required licenses to manufacture or sell alcoholic beverages.
On June 10, DATE officers executed a search warrant at Pale Moon Wine LLC in Dover. During the search, officers seized:
Munro was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 7, charged with the following offenses, and released on $300 unsecured bail.
DATE remains committed to ensuring that alcoholic beverages offered for sale in Delaware are produced, stored, and distributed in compliance with state law. The Division will continue to investigate and take enforcement action against individuals and businesses operating outside the regulatory framework to protect consumers and maintain a fair and lawful marketplace for licensed manufacturers and retailers.
