World premiere at Automechanika 2026
MAHLE today unveiled the new generation of its ArcticPRO® A/C service units at Automechanika Frankfurt 2026. The new product family includes four model variants: ArcticPRO® Tech, Advanced, Expert, and Ultimate, offering the right solution for every workshop size and service volume. A modern, functional design featuring larger touchscreens and an optimized user interface simplifies maintenance and service operations. A high level of automation enables efficient, precise, and user-friendly A/C servicing. Secure and continuous updates of systems and vehicle databases are ensured through Wi-Fi connectivity and digital service functions. The MAHLE Connect App, featuring an AI-powered assistant, further enhances service quality by providing technicians with targeted access to extensive technical knowledge.
"Thermal management is one of MAHLE's core technology fields. With the new ArcticPRO® generation, we are making this expertise directly accessible to workshops performing A/C service. Our goal is to help workshops successfully navigate the technological transformation of the vehicle parc while unlocking new growth opportunities in the service business," said Philipp Grosse Kleimann, Member of the MAHLE Management Committee and Head of MAHLE Lifecycle and Mobility.
The new ArcticPRO® generation is built on a completely redesigned, unified platform. All units operate fully automatically and support the refrigerants R134a, R1234yf, as well as the new blends R444A and R456A. Thanks to a modular design, the units can be converted from R134a to R1234yf and vice versa. This increases flexibility for workshops and provides long-term investment security as vehicle and refrigerant diversity continues to grow.
The models feature a newly developed user interface with graphical process guidance, status displays, and integrated help functions. Different touchscreen sizes, along with audio and video support, ensure intuitive operation while reducing training requirements and user errors.
Digital features across the entire product family include Wi-Fi connectivity, automatic software updates, and integration with the MAHLE Connect App. This keeps vehicle databases continuously up to date while allowing workshops to monitor unit status, service data, and operational metrics at all times. In addition, all units are equipped with a new 24-volt architecture that improves energy efficiency and extends the service life of key components. The ArcticPRO® family is also designed for servicing air conditioning systems in hybrid and electric vehicles and includes an integrated flushing function that simplifies maintenance procedures.
The entry-level ArcticPRO® Tech enables automated service processes, features a 4.3-inch touchscreen, and utilizes patented E³-FILL technology for precise refrigerant charging. ArcticPRO® Advanced expands functionality with a 7-inch touchscreen featuring video support and integrated weighing systems for highly accurate dosing of operating fluids.
The premium ArcticPRO® Expert and ArcticPRO® Ultimate models are designed for workshops with high service volumes. Both models feature an increased refrigerant tank capacity of 20 liters instead of 12 liters, as well as four and five oil and UV dye containers respectively. They also offer a OneTouch function that provides quick access to internal components, enabling particularly efficient maintenance operations.
As the flagship model of the range, ArcticPRO® Ultimate additionally features a 10-inch touchscreen with audio and video support, an integrated thermal printer for service documentation, and advanced monitoring of consumables. This enables largely uninterrupted workshop operation and maximum productivity, even under heavy service demand.
With the MAHLE Connect App, MAHLE expands the capabilities of its ArcticPRO® A/C service stations through a digital AI-powered assistant that guides technicians throughout the entire service process. The app enables users to monitor and control service procedures directly from a smartphone, retrieve vehicle-specific information, and automatically generate service documentation. As a result, manual tasks are reduced, workflows are accelerated, and workshop productivity is further improved.
A key feature of the app is the MAHLE Intelligent Assistant (MIA). Leveraging MAHLE's extensive OE and service expertise, MIA supports technicians with technical questions, fault diagnosis, and access to relevant service information. Automatic vehicle identification recognizes vehicles from a photo of the license plate or VIN and transfers the data directly to the ArcticPRO® station. At the same time, technicians can monitor the progress of ongoing service procedures in real time and remotely control selected functions via smartphone.
The system is complemented by digital service documentation that automatically captures all relevant data and compiles it into a comprehensive service report. Thanks to cloud connectivity, unit data, documentation, and service information are always available and up to date. Secure pairing between the app and the station is completed within seconds via QR code. The app also provides direct access to the technical hotline, ensuring a highly service-friendly user experience in day-to-day workshop operations.
