New Podcast Episode Explores the Data and Decisions Driving DeSoto's Future

The latest episode of 20 Minutes with the Mayor answers many of the questions we hear from the community frequently. The City's monthly podcast designed to give residents an inside look at the projects, services, priorities, and decisions shaping the DeSoto community. Through conversations with City leadership, staff, and community partners, the podcast provides additional context, transparency, and opportunities for residents to stay informed and engaged.

In Episode 2: The Road Ahead: Driven by Data, A Smarter Approach to DeSoto's Streets, Mayor Rachel L. Proctor explores how technology, strategic planning, and community engagement are helping guide investments that will benefit DeSoto today and for years to come.

This month's episode features:

  • Interim City Manager Isom Cameron, who discusses his vision for maintaining continuity while advancing City priorities during this period of transition.
  • A look at how Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding priorities are shaped by resident feedback and why public participation is essential to the planning process.
