Julie Smith and Blake Winter Earn Certificate from Introduction to Commercial Lending School, through the Iowa Banker's Association

Julie Smith of Luana Savings Bank's Ossian, IA office and Blake Winter of the Luana, IA office, successfully completed the 2023 Iowa Bankers Association Introduction to Commercial Lending School held October 16-18 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

The school is an intense three-day program sponsored by the Iowa Bankers Association. The purpose of the IBA Introduction to Commercial Lending School is to give students a basic understanding of the principles and concepts of commercial lending. The curriculum for the school involves an extensive case study, as well as classroom lecture and problem loan exercises.

Julie and Blake are both northeast Iowa natives, local to their respective offices. Julie has been with Luana Savings Bank since 2010 and has worked throughout the loan department in processing, loan review, and is currently a Credit Analyst. Blake started with the bank in early 2021 in loan processing and is currently a Loan Reviewer. Both positions are vital to the quality of Luana Savings Bank's pristine loan portfolio.
