Join the City of Santa Fe in celebrating Arbor Day on Thursday, April 23, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Torreon Park, 1515 W. Alameda Street.
Mayor Michael Garcia will read an official proclamation, joined by City councilors, students from Gonzales Community School, and staff from the Parks and Open Space Division and the Conservation and Sustainability Division. Together, attendees will plant trees and highlight their shared commitment to stewardship as proud members of the Arbor Day Foundation and a recognized Tree City USA community.
This collaborative effort includes new irrigation installed to support tree establishment and a pollinator garden funded by Keep Santa Fe Beautiful's Clean and Beautiful Grant.
Tree seedlings and pollinator seeds will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. City departments and community partners will also be on-site to share information and resources.
Parking is limited. Attendees are encouraged to park near Sam and Huddleson Streets and Alto Park.
