America’s Sugar Producers Applaud House Passage of Bipartisan Farm Bill

American sugarbeet and sugarcane farmers and workers applaud today's bipartisan passage of the Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2026 in the U.S. House of Representatives. The American Sugar Alliance (ASA) released the following statement:

"Congress has continually made it a priority to put American farmers and workers first, and the Farm, Food, and National Security Act will continue to strengthen American sugar production. Today's bipartisan vote once again reaffirms that the U.S. sugar industry is critical to our national food security. Without the American family farms and American factories that produce real sugar, America will be dependent on unreliable foreign suppliers for this essential food ingredient.

"Passing a Farm Bill is a critical step forward in ensuring we do not offshore our family farms or American food production."

The Farm, Food, and National Security Act recognizes the essential role of domestic sugar production in maintaining resilient supply chains and strengthens crop insurance tools for sugarbeet and sugarcane farmers.
