ADDRESS OF POPE LEO XIV TO MEMBERS OF THE DIPLOMATIC CORPS ACCREDITED TO THE HOLY SEE
In his first State of the World speech, Pope Leo XIV referred to the many words and conflicts in the world, notably to the continuing war against Ukraine, and made a powerful call in support of multilateralism, the United Nations and international humanitarian law which prohibits attacks on civilians and energy infrastructures.
Together with the Ambassadors of Ukraine AndriiYurash and Slovenia Franc But, Ambassador Martin Selmayr spoke afterwards with EWTN Vatican (Global Catholic Network - Eternal World Television Network) on St Peter's square about the important encouragement the Pope's words mean for our joint diplomatic work.
