HINSDALE, Ill. - A $25,000 donation from the PGA TOUR's Presidents Cup to UChicago Medicine AdventHealth will help more community members access essential care and nutritious food.

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth directed $12,500 of the funds to HCS Family Services and $12,500 to the Open Arms Mammography Program at its Hinsdale hospital.

HCS Family Services, founded in 1937, operates food pantries in Hinsdale and Willowbrook, providing groceries every week to 500 families who are food insecure in southeast DuPage County and far western Cook County.

With the $12,500 donation, HCS will be able to buy $100,000 worth of food ($8 of food is purchased for every $1 donated).

In 2025, HCS Family Services provided nearly 600,000 pounds of food - the equivalent of 500,000 meals - to individuals and families facing hunger.

In addition, HCS also provide diapers, paper goods and personal care items, and hosts a holiday gift assistance program each year.

Open Arms provides breast health screenings and diagnostic services at no cost to women who have no health insurance or whose coverage is not enough to pay for needed care.

Screening mammograms look for signs of cancer before they're noticeable. Diagnostic testing is performed when symptoms are present or a screening mammogram shows something that needs further evaluation.

The $12,500 gift helps remove a financial barrier that can cause women to delay screening, which can identify breast cancers earlier when they are more treatable.

UChicago Medicine AdventHealth served as the Official Fan Healthcare Provider of the 2026 Presidents Cup, which was held Sept. 22-27 at Medinah Country Club.
