The Brazilian government condemns the attack carried out in the Department of Cauca, Colombia, on April 25, which left more than a dozen people dead and many others injured.
The Brazilian government expresses its solidarity with the families of the victims and with the Colombian people and government.
Brazil also reaffirms its support for the Commitment to a free and peaceful electoral process in Colombia, an initiative of Colombia's Ombudsman's Office endorsed by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in Colombia, the Organization of American States' Mission to Support the Peace Process in Colombia of (MAPP-OAS), the United Nations Verification Mission in Colombia (UNVMC), the Colombian Episcopal Conference, and other diplomatic missions in Bogotá.
There are no reports of Brazilian nationals among the victims of the attack.
