REMINDER: Santa Rosa County Parks and Recreation hosts Movie in the Parks Tuesday, Nov. 18

Santa Rosa County Parks and Recreation is bringing the big screen outdoors with the launch of its new Movie in the Parks program. Families and residents of all ages are invited to enjoy free, family-friendly movie nights under the stars at community parks across the county. The next event, featuring The Incredibles, will take place Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 6 p.m. - Bagdad Mill Site Park, 6953 Main Street in Bagdad.

The following event will also take place, featuring:

• Polar Express on Tuesday, Dec. 16, at 6 p.m. - Navarre Park, 8513 Navarre Parkway in Navarre

Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs for a fun-filled evening of entertainment. Local food truck vendors will be on-site, and movies will be shown on a large outdoor screen, creating a theater-like experience in the heart of Santa Rosa County's beloved parks . Visitors are responsible for purchases from food trucks.

"We're excited to launch this new program that gives families a chance to come together, enjoy our parks, and experience the joy of movies in a unique way," said Jeff Schmitt, Santa Rosa County Facilities/Parks Program Manager . "Movie in the Parks is about building community, making memories, and celebrating the great outdoor spaces we have right here at home."
