If you are requesting credit for alternative education, such as out-of-state coursework, State Bar education, or instructor credit, you can submit your request through the Real Estate and Appraiser License Management (REALM) Portal.
Before You Begin
Depending on the type of request, you may need documentation to support your application. For example:

Out-of-State requests: Course completion certificate(s).

State Bar requests: Course completion certificate(s).

Instructor requests: Additional documentation may be requested, if applicable.
Submit an Alternative Education Request

Sign in to the REALM Portal.

Select My Records.

Locate your license and select Amendment in the Action column.

From the Type of Change Request menu, select Alternative Education Request, then select Continue Application.

Select the type of request:

Out-of-State
-
State Bar
-
Instructor
-
Enter the required information and select Continue Application.

If required, select Add to upload your supporting documentation.

Certificates are required for Out-of-State and State Bar requests.

After uploading your file, select Save, then select Continue Application.

Review the certification statement, check the acknowledgment box, and submit your request.
After You Submit
Please allow time for your request to be processed. You can monitor your license information and education history using the License Holder Search.
What Happens Next?
After your request is submitted, TREC will review the information and supporting documentation you provided. If additional information is needed, we will contact you.
