"The future of the AI Economy must be built on sovereign and resilient infrastructures."

During his speech, De Carolis emphasized how artificial intelligence is becoming a structural driver of transformation for businesses, profoundly changing decision-making processes, risk management, and customer relations.
In particular, in the banking and insurance industries, AI is enabling new paradigms of efficiency, security, and service personalization - but at the same time, it demands robust, high-performance, and sustainable infrastructures.
From cybercrime risks to service disruptions, from the impact of climate change to the central role of data as a strategic asset, the message is clear: building a mature and competitive AI economy requires investing in sovereign, secure, and interconnected technologies, capable of ensuring operational continuity, data protection, and technological autonomy.
De Carolis also pointed out that Italy's system is facing a decisive phase:
"Artificial intelligence represents an extraordinary opportunity for progress - but only if it is supported by a national digital infrastructure that ensures control, efficiency, and sustainability. Public and private sectors must work together to build a truly sovereign and resilient technological ecosystem, on which to develop the new economy of data and intelligence."
This intervention is part of Sirti Digital Solutions' ongoing commitment to supporting companies and institutions in their transition toward a digital, sustainable, and intelligent future, where infrastructure security, data enhancement, and innovation capacity are the cornerstones of the country's competitiveness.
