UAA's Bromee 11th in giant slalom

Reno, Nevada - Ella Bromee led the University of Alaska Anchorage ski team with an 11th-place finish in the giant slalom at the RMISA Alpine Qualifier Monday.

She finished with a two-run combined time of 1:59.09.

Ainsley Proffit finished 17th (1:59.65), and Olivia Carrier was 24th (2:03.05).

Dylan Timm led the UAA men finishing 15th (1:53.42).

Tommaso Olcese posted the fifth-fastest second run to finish 17th (1:53.62).

Carlo Cardone finished 19th (1:53.72), and Giorgio Baldo was 25th (1:54.67).

Filip Wahlqvist of Colorado won the men's race (1:51.22), and Sara Rask of Denver won the women's race (1:55.84).

UAA will compete in the giant slalom races at the Nevada Invite Tuesday.
