On 30 April 2026, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Zimbabwe, Yury Nikalaichyk, presented his Credentials to the President of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Mnangagwa.
Following the ceremony, a meeting was held in a narrow format, during which the parties discussed the entire range of issues on the Belarusian-Zimbabwean agenda, confirming the strategic level of partnership between Minsk and Harare, as well as the focus on developing a constructive dialogue.
The Belarusian Ambassador stressed Minsk's readiness to further enhance practical cooperation, contributing to the sustainable economic growth and prosperity of Zimbabwe.
In turn, E.Mnangagwa highly appreciated the contribution of Belarus to the development of the country. The Head of State noted the significant potential for expanding bilateral ties and expressed confidence in the continuation of mutually beneficial contacts at all levels.
The parties paid special attention to the implementation of the Strategic Cooperation Roadmap for 2026-2030, including the implementation of joint projects in the fields of industrial cooperation, agricultural mechanisation and humanitarian cooperation.
Y.Nikalaichyk also handed over to the President of Zimbabwe the original congratulatory message on behalf of the President of the Republic of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, on the occasion of Zimbabwe's Independence Day.
