Here's where Royal Roads made headlines this week:

• Salt Spring Exchange published a feature on Royal Roads President and Vice-Chancellor Philip Steenkamp, when he visited the island for a community conversation and question-and-answer about plans for the Bloom Castle by the Sea.

• Cascade Institute Executive Director Thomas Homer-Dixon and Polycrisis Fellow Christopher Collins wrote an article for The New Republic on what is shaping up to be devastating impacts to climate and global food supply, caused by the US war on Iran and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

• A Million Acts of Love Foundation, founded by RRU alum Cheryl-Lynn Townsin, was featured in Black Press publications for its new Changemaker program - a free virtual program designed to help middle and high school students access tools, mentorship and microgrants for real community projects.

• Royal Roads was highlighted by Academica for Earth Month celebrations and a luxurious April Fools prank.
