Mayor Takahashi Re-Appointed to the National League of Cities' First Tier Suburbs Council

Burbank, CA (January 27, 2026) - Mayor Tamala Takahashi has been re-appointed to the National League of Cities (NLC) 2026 First Tier Suburbs Council (FTS) for a one-year term. The FTS is open to any local elected official representing a member city or town outside of central cities and inside the ring of developing suburbs and rural areas. This marks Mayor Takahashi's third year on the FTS.

In this role, Mayor Takahashi will work with a diverse group of nationwide city leaders to encourage collaboration, network, and advocate for the development of resources and programs beneficial to communities that share similar challenges of being located in close proximity to a large metropolitan city.
