President Vahagn Khachaturyan’s message on the Conclusion of the Election Campaign

Dear Compatriots,

The current election campaign is coming to an end-a crucial stage of the democratic process during which political parties and candidates have presented their programs, priorities, and visions for the development of the country and its communities.

Elections are a fundamental component of the functioning of a democratic state. They are not only an opportunity for political choice but also an important expression of public responsibility, civic consciousness, and state-mindedness.

Every electoral process provides society with an opportunity to assess the path already traveled, compare different visions, and determine the direction in which it wishes to continue its development.

Over the past weeks, citizens have had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with various political proposals, hear different perspectives on development, and evaluate the programs presented.

At the same time, all participants in the political process have had a full opportunity to present their approaches to the public. The strength of democracy lies precisely in this opportunity-in the competition of ideas, the diversity of opinions, and the guarantee of the right to free choice.

It should be noted that democracy is not merely an electoral process or a legal procedure. It is also a political culture, a measure of the quality of public relations, and an expression of society's maturity.

During the campaign, there were at times certain phenomena and forms of rhetoric that did not fully reflect the high standards that our society seeks to strengthen.

This observation is by no means intended to pass judgment on any participant in the political process or on any individual episode. Rather, it serves as a reminder that democracy is a continuous path of development and improvement, and that all of us-state institutions, political forces, civil society, and citizens alike still have work to do together in further strengthening the culture of political debate, mutual respect, reasoned discussion, and public responsibility.

However, the electoral competition is now ending, and the floor belongs to the citizens.

Ahead lies the day of silence. This is not merely a pause in the political process, but also an important opportunity for every citizen to calmly and impartially evaluate what they have heard and seen, carefully consider the programs and promises presented, and make their own informed decision.

The true value of democracy is revealed at the moment when a citizen, guided by his convictions and sense of responsibility, makes a free and conscious choice.

Participating in elections is not simply the exercise of a right. It is one of the most important expressions of responsibility toward the present and future of the state. The stability and vitality of democratic systems largely depend on citizens' participation and their willingness to contribute to the process of public decision-making.

On election day, go to the polling stations guided solely by your conscience, free will, and convictions. Make your choice with clear judgment, a high sense of responsibility, and the understanding that every vote matters not only for the outcome of the election itself, but also for the democratic development of our state, the strengthening of its institutions, and the building of its future.

I am confident that our people, guided by their experience, political maturity, and sense of national responsibility, will make a dignified and informed choice for the continued strengthening of the Republic of Armenia, the consolidation of democratic values, public solidarity, and sustainable development.

I wish for the elections to be conducted in a free, peaceful, dignified atmosphere fully consistent with the principles of the rule of law, thereby strengthening public trust in democratic institutions and serving the continuous development and strengthening of our statehood.
