New York, NY - July 21, 2026 - Warner Bros. Discovery U.S. Advertising Sales today announced its advertising partners for Shark Week 2026, which premieres Sunday, July 26 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Discovery Channel. Shark Week continues to thrill audiences with 20 hours of all-new programming, delivering pulse-pounding expeditions, groundbreaking science, and unforgettable encounters with the ocean's most formidable apex predators. Through custom, strategic partnership opportunities, Shark Week provides advertisers the ability to amplify their brand messaging alongside one of television's most iconic annual Summer events.
Shark Week offers sponsors a unique opportunity to align with premium, multi-platform content across WBD's U.S. Entertainment Networks, HBO Max, discovery+ and WBD's social channels. This year's new sponsors include Costa Sunglasses, Juggernaut Wines and Disney Studios, alongside returning sponsors The Sherwin-Williams Company, University of Phoenix, Long John Silver's and Universal Pictures. Sponsorships feature a range of convergent opportunities, including custom social video integrations, tagged tune-ins, billboards, interactive streaming experiences, and more.
Costa Sunglasses joins Shark Week for the first time with a robust cross-platform campaign featuring custom advertorial social videos and cutdowns, a discovery+ takeover, an interactive WBD Stream experience and RE/FORM advertising. Juggernaut Wines also makes its Shark Week debut with custom social content, in-store retail displays, influencer activations and a branded presence at WBD's Jaws screening event in Martha's Vineyard.
Returning partner Long John Silver's expands its Shark Week presence with tagged tune-ins, billboards, a taggable editorial social video, a co-branded promotional frame and RE/FORM advertising. Universal Pictures returns with a custom linear stunt night supporting DreamWorks Animation's Forgotten Island, while new sponsor Disney Studios will debut a dedicated stunt night spotlighting 20th Century Studios' Whalefall, featuring an exclusive extended trailer, custom billboards, vignettes and streaming extensions.
The week kicks off with K-Pop Shark Heroes, where actor and comedian Ken Jeong and GRAMMY®-nominated artist REI AMI use the global power of K-Pop to transform perceptions of sharks across East Asia and beyond.
Fan-favorite franchise Air Jaws: Red, White and Breach returns as scientists investigate whether legendary breaching great white sharks have entered American waters. In Expedition Unknown: Shark Secrets, Josh Gates explores history's first documented shark attack and investigates whether an infamous sea monster was a shark. World-renowned cliff diver Molly Carlson attempts a record-setting leap into shark-infested waters in Ultimate Shark Dive, while returning experts Paul de Gelder, Forrest Galante and Dr. Tristan Guttridge push the limits through daring expeditions and cutting-edge investigations.
