Harrisburg, PA - Treasurer Stacy Garrity announced today the launch of OpenBookPA, a new, enhanced version of Treasury's award-winning Transparency Portal. With improved navigation, design and added features, visitors to the site now have more tools at their fingertips to better understand the Commonwealth's finances.
"Increasing transparency in state government has always been one of my top priorities, and the launch of OpenBookPA is the next step in that process. Pennsylvania taxpayers expect and deserve to know how their tax dollars are being used and the information in OpenBookPA helps hold lawmakers and government officials accountable for state spending - we are raising the bar for state government spending accountability"

OpenBookPA also offers access to the Treasury Checkbook, which includes payments made by Treasury to its vendors and the Contracts e-Library, which makes available more than 500,000 state contracts, purchase orders, and amendments valued at $5,000 or more for public review.
