Meeting of the Bilateral Belarusian-Vietnamese Working Group on Military Cooperation

Contributing to previously reached agreements, a meeting of the Bilateral Belarusian-Vietnamese working group on military cooperation was held for the first time in the history of relations of the two countries.

The Belarusian military delegation was headed by Chief of the International Military Cooperation Department, Assistant to the Defence Minister for Foreign Military Policy Major General Valery Revenko, the Vietnamese side was led by Director of the Department of Foreign Relations under the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defence Major General Vu Thanh Van.

The parties pointed out the constructive nature of cooperation, discussed the results of joint work for 2025 and looked into the proposals according to the final version of the Cooperation plan for 2026. The focus is on the implementation of a range of activities with an emphasis on practical results. Following the meeting, the relevant protocol was signed.

The head of the Military Education Department of the Belarusian Armed Forces Colonel Andrei Klishevich and Chief of the Military Medical Department of the Belarusian Defence Ministry Colonel of the Medical Service Aleksandr Malyukh held meetings with their Vietnamese counterparts, discussing personnel training and medical care.
