Washington, D.C. - Tomorrow, Donald Trump will speak at the Detroit Economic Club. The last time he spoke there, he insulted Detroit, saying that the "whole country will end up being like Detroit if she's [Kamala Harris] your president."

"Trump promised to bring jobs and economic success to Detroit, but over the last 8 months, we've lost 68,000 manufacturing jobs, and unemployment has hit a 4-year high", said Congressman Thanedar. "We do not need any more of Trump's lies; we need to make America affordable.

Trump's economic policies, from his massive tariffs that jack up the cost of the goods we buy every day, to his willingness to let ACA tax credits expire, which will cause an average increase in the healthcare premiums of 114% for 22 million Americans, are solely causing the affordability crisis affecting many Americans. But instead of taking accountability for his failures to make your life better, he's launching a bogus criminal investigation into the top economic advisor that he appointed. The people of my district deserve better than Trump's lies."
