Cowan named to NCBWA All-Region second team

SALISBURY, N.C. | Georgia College & State University outfielder Evan Cowan has been named to the National College Baseball Writers Association NCAA Division II All-Southeast Region second team.

The senior outfielder from Richmond Hill, Georgia, was named to the All-Peach Belt Conference team for the second time earlier this month. Cowan was a first-team honoree in 2026 after being named to the second team in 2025.

Cowan, who started all 47 games that he has played, led the Bobcats in batting average (.441), hits (83), triples (2), slugging percentage (.537) and on-base percentage (.522). He was second on the team hit by pitches (10) and stolen bases (21), and third in walks (25).

Cowan is fifth in NCAA Division II statistics in hits per game (1.77). He is also seventh nationally in batting (.441), 24th in hits (83) and 33rd in on-base percentage (.522).
