Statement on Mayor-elect Mamdani Administration Appointments

Our statement from Carlo A. Scissura, Esq., President and CEO of the New York Building Congress on Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani's administration appointments:

"Mayor-elect Mamdani has taken his first steps to shape a new path forward at City Hall, and has knocked it out of the park in doing so!

Dean Fuleihan is a seasoned veteran of city government, and his appointment as First Deputy Mayor ensures Mamdani will have the space to focus on his ambitious "affordability first" agenda with a steady hand managing day-to-day operations.

Elle Bisgaard-Church just spearheaded the most incredible political campaign this town has ever seen, and her appointment as Chief of Staff ensures that all hands on deck will bring the same focus it took to win that race on managing our city government.

We look forward to working with them and we applaud the Mayor-elect for two appointments that signal he is focused on a brighter future for all New Yorkers!"
