Famke Janssen Stars as Betty Jonkers in 'Forever Pour Toujours' Music Video

Part of the Amsterdam Empire Soundtrack

Hot on the heels of the Dutch Netflix series Amsterdam Empire , which premiered exclusively on Netflix on October 30, the official music video for " Forever Pour Toujours " has just been released. Performed by Betty Jonkers (Famke Janssen), the video features her not only singing but also dancing in a striking routine choreographed by Vincent Vianen.

The single "Forever Pour Toujours" is part of the original soundtrack for Amsterdam Empire . For the series, director Jonas Govaerts collaborated with composer Kai Hugo (Palmbomen II). In addition to original compositions, the soundtrack includes surprising Dutch remixes, including a version of Doe Maar's classic song "Pa". In the series, Famke Janssen plays the glamorous yet dangerous Betty Jonkers, the betrayed wife of underworld kingpin Jack van Doorn (Jacob Derwig). When his affair with a well-known journalist (Elise Schaap) comes to light, his greatest enemy turns out to be his own wife. As a former pop diva who knows all his weak spots, Betty is determined to destroy him.

For Famke Janssen, the role of Betty Jonkers marks her first Dutch production and her debut as a singer in her home country. She also played a key creative role in the series' development as executive producer and costume designer.

"I never thought I would ever sing a song myself, let alone dance in a music video," says Famke Janssen. "It was such a special experience! Vincent Vianen is the best choreographer. He helped me translate Betty's strength and vulnerability into movement. Thanks to our hard work together, I felt free during the shoot and was able to fully enjoy it."

Jack van Doorn, the rich and notorious founder of the coffee shop empire Jackal, has had to fight his entire career against criminals, competitors, and absurd Dutch laws to become the biggest of them all.
