On 9 June 2026, H.E. Mr. Vijavat Isarabhakdi, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, had a working lunch with H.E. Mr. Faiyaz Murshid Kazi, Ambassador of the People's Republic of Bangladesh to Thailand, on the occasion of his completion of duty.

The Vice ForeignMinister expressed appreciation for the Ambassador's active role in promoting closer cooperation between Thailand and Bangladesh across all areas, particularly economic and security cooperation. Among his notable contributions were his efforts for the inaugural shipment between Ranong Port and Chittagong Port, as well as Bangladesh's immediate co-sponsorship of the 2025 Bangkok Joint Statement from the International Conference on the Global Partnership against Online Scams held in Bangkok last December.

The Vice Foreign Minister congratulated H.E. Dr. Khalilur Rahman, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, on his recent election as President of the 81st Session of the UNGA (PGA81). He reaffirmed Thailand's commitment to working closely with Bangladesh in both bilateral and multilateral frameworks to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
