YMCA – Staff and Firefighters save a life!

On September 7, 2026 firefighter paramedics responded to the YMCA located at 1500 Los Gamos Drive. A club member had become unconscious and went into cardiac arrest. YMCA staff immediately started CPR and utilized an automatic defibrillator and prior to the arrival of paramedics, successfully revived the patient. While being transported to the hospital, the patient again went into cardiac arrest. Paramedics successfully revived the patient who was conscious and talking upon arrival at the hospital.
