Bookeasy, the platform that powers bookings for tourism operators, destinations and national parks across Australia and New Zealand, has been selected by the Western Australian Government to deliver a new online booking platform for the state's national parks.
Scheduled to launch by mid-2027, the platform will support park entry passes and booking campsites, marine park anchorages and moorings, with improved search, maps and availability.
The partnership marks an important milestone for Bookeasy, which now works with five of Australia's eight state and territory national parks agencies.
G'day Group Chief of Digital Businesses, Lahnee White said Western Australia's national parks were among the country's most valuable tourism experiences and deserved a booking experience to match.
"Western Australia is home to some of the most extraordinary nature-based experiences in the world, and technology should help more people access them, not stand in the way.
"Planning a trip into nature should be part of the excitement, not a hassle. By making it easier to find, plan and book everything from campsites to park passes and marine park stays in one place, we're helping visitors spend less time organising their trip and more time enjoying it.
"We're proud to partner with the WA Government to connect more visitors with the state's incredible parks and reserves.
"Being trusted by the majority of the state and territory national parks agencies is a real testament to the strength of Bookeasy's technology and the partnerships we've built."
The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) recorded more than 190,000 online campsite bookings in 2025-26, up around 16 per cent from the previous year, demonstrating strong visitor demand for Western Australia's nature-based experiences.
DBCA Assistant Director Visitor Services Nathan Greenhill said the new system would make it easier for visitors to find and book their next park experience.
"We want visitors to start their trip with a straightforward, user-friendly booking experience," Mr Greenhill said.
"Improvements over the current system will include a smarter search experience with interactive maps, improved filters and clearer results, making it easier to identify available sites and plan trips. Campers will also receive notifications before, during and after their stays."
The agreement between DBCA and Bookeasy is for up to 10 years, comprising an initial three-year term with extension options.
