Online Product Calendar

The U.S. Census Bureau provides anticipated release dates for its regular and recurring statistical products through its online product calendar. This calendar is regularly updated to reflect the most current information.

Age Search Service

The U.S. Census Bureau is again accepting new requests for its Age Search Service after a temporary pause. The updated service and fee structure offers a search for confidential records from 1910 to 2020 Censuses and issues an official transcript of the results for a congressionally mandated fee. Individuals can use these transcripts, which may contain information on a person's age, sex, race, state or country of birth, and relationship to the householder, as evidence to qualify for social security and other retirement benefits, apply for passports, prove relationship in settling estates, conduct genealogy research or to satisfy other situations where a birth or other certificate may be needed but is not available. Information can only be released to the named person, his/her heirs or legal representatives.

Data.census.gov Users Needed for Survey

The U.S. Census Bureau's Center for Enterprise Dissemination Services and Consumer Innovation is looking for participants for an upcoming Usability Testing study. A wide range of data users with varying backgrounds are needed to learn how users interact with the site. Participants should have past or current experience using or analyzing data - and use data from data.census.gov or other statistical sites for research and to make decisions. Demographic

New Foreign-Born Population by Generation Data Tables

The U.S. Census Bureau will release new data tables from the 2025 Current Population Survey Annual Social and Economic Supplement (CPS ASEC). These tables provide information on household income, poverty status, employment status, health insurance coverage, education, age, sex and other social and economic statistics for the foreign-born population by generation. (Scheduled for release Sept. 8.)

Income in the United States: 2025

The U.S. Census Bureau will announce the nation's annual estimates on income, earnings and inequality in order to evaluate national economic trends and to understand their effect on the well-being of households and individuals. These estimates are based on the 2026 Current Population Survey Annual Social and Economic Supplement (CPS ASEC). (Scheduled for release Sept. 15.)

Health Insurance in the United States: 2025

The U.S. Census Bureau will announce the nation's annual health insurance coverage estimates highlighting comparisons between 2024 and 2025 data as well as examining characteristics by health insurance status in order to better understand the well-being of individuals. These estimates are based on the 2026 Current Population Survey Annual Social and Economic Supplement (CPS ASEC). (Scheduled for release Sept. 15.)

Poverty in the United States: 2025

The U.S. Census Bureau will announce the nation's official poverty and Supplemental Poverty Measure (SPM) estimates to help understand the economic well-being of households, families and individuals. These estimates are based on the 2026 Current Population Survey Annual Social and Economic Supplement (CPS ASEC). (Scheduled for release Sept. 15.)

New Report on the Living Arrangements, Caregiving, and Well-Being of Older Populations in China, India, Mexico, and South Africa

The growing burden of chronic illnesses and cognitive decline among older adults is expected to place significant pressure on health systems. Limited resources for formal care may also increase dependence on families to provide informal, unpaid support, according to a new report - Living Arrangements, Caregiving, and Well-Being of Older Populations in China, India, Mexico, and South Africa. (Tentatively scheduled for release in Oct.)

Legacy USA Trade Online Tool Decommissioned, New USA Trade Online Tool Available

As of June 30, the legacy USA Trade Online platform has been decommissioned and replaced with the new USA Trade Online: Reimagined platform. The new version features the same trade data as the legacy version while improving user experience with a modern, more intuitive interface and streamlined design.

"Connecting Jobs and Walkability with Census Data"

The U.S. Census Bureau and the Local Employment Dynamics (LED) Partnership, in collaboration with the Council for Community and Economic Research (C2ER) and the Labor Market Information (LMI) Institute, welcome Evan Johnston, Reece Neathery and John Karras as they present, "Connecting Jobs and Walkability with Census Data." Using the Longitudinal Employer-Household Dynamics (LEHD) Origin-Destination Economic Statistics (LODES) data and walk-time analysis can identify employment centers and improve existing areas. Learn how these tools support data-driven decisions for economic development and infrastructure investments. (Scheduled for Sept. 9.)

Quarterly Summary of State and Local Government Tax Revenues: 2nd Quarter 2026

The Census Bureau will release a summary of quarterly estimates of state and local government tax revenue at the national level as well as detailed tax revenue data for individual states. This report produces two income and sales tax data tables and one table for tax collections by state including revenues for cannabis sales tax which are now a core product. More information about this data can be found on the Quarterly Summary of State and Local Tax Revenue page. (Scheduled for release Sept. 10.)

2024 AIES Historical Time Series Release

The Annual Integrated Economic Survey (AIES) replaced and integrated seven annual business surveys, creating a comprehensive annual source of national and subnational data on business revenues, expenses, payroll and employment. The 2024 AIES will incorporate historical results from the legacy surveys to develop time series that provide continuity with previously published data. These data will also be available via FRED. (Scheduled for release Sept. 10.)

2026 Annual Government Organization and Structure

The U.S. Census Bureau is set to release the 2026 Annual Government Organization counts. The release includes three data tables: Government Units by State, Local Governments by Type and State, and Special District Governments by Function and State. Also set to be released is the annual Government Organization Public Use File for state and local government units, including independent governments, dependent school systems and public pension systems. (Scheduled for release Sept. 24.)

Census Bureau Celebrates 15th Anniversary of Manufacturing Day

The U.S. Census Bureau is set to hold a series of events to recognize the manufacturing sector's importance and vast contribution to the nation's economy. The celebration kicks off Sept. 28 and continues through Manufacturing Day, which takes place every year on the first Friday in October. Since its inception in 2011, this event highlights the achievements and opportunities within the modern manufacturing sector, inspiring interest in manufacturing careers. (Scheduled for release Sept. 28.)

Business Trends and Outlook Survey

The Business Trends and Outlook Survey (BTOS) measures business conditions on an ongoing basis. BTOS experimental data products are representative of all employer businesses other than farms in the U.S. economy. The data allow greater insight into the state of the economy by providing continuous, timely information for key economic measures. Data are released biweekly and are available by sector, state, employment size and the 25 most populous metropolitan statistical areas.

Federal Register Notices

The U.S. Census Bureau publishes updates in the Federal Register to keep the public informed about surveys, censuses and related activities. Some notices include a comment period during which the public can provide feedback. An Aging World: 2025

Aug. 31 - The U.S. Census Bureau released the sixth edition of the An Aging World series. The report contains statistics from the Census Bureau's International Database and other data sources such as the international family of Health and Retirement surveys, the Gateway to Global Aging, the World Bank, International Labour Organization and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development.

Economic

2024 Annual Integrated Economic Survey

Sept. 3 - The U.S. Census Bureau released the full set of data from the 2024 Annual Integrated Economic Survey (AIES). The AIES provides economic data - including business revenue, expenses and assets - at detailed geographies for many sectors previously only available nationally.

New Post-Secondary Employment Outcomes Data

Aug. 27 - The U.S. Census Bureau released new data on outcomes of graduates from over 1,100 institutions. PSEO tabulations show earnings and employment outcomes for graduates of U.S. post-secondary institutions and are generated by linking graduate transcript records to Longitudinal Employer-Household Dynamics wage data. This offers prospective students a comprehensive assessment tool to find out how much they could potentially earn by degree and institution. The Census Bureau conducts the PSEO in cooperation with higher education institutional systems to examine college degree attainment and graduate earnings.

Aug. 27 - Discover how U.S. Census Bureau data can power smarter business decisions in this insightful webinar, Market Entry and Growth - A Business Case Study. This session walks participants through a real-world scenario showing how entrepreneurs, business owners and analysts can leverage key Census Bureau programs to understand markets, identify opportunities and plan for sustainable growth. National Hispanic Heritage Month: 2026

Aug. 11 - During this month-long observance, our nation celebrates the culture and traditions of U.S. residents who trace their roots to Spain, Mexico and the Spanish-speaking nations of Central America, South America and the Caribbean. The U.S. Census Bureau joins in the celebration with this fact sheet presenting a range of updated statistics describing the demographic state of the nation's Hispanic population.
