Allegheny County - June 4, 2026 - Today, Senator Wayne Fontana announced grants totaling $350,298 in state funding to senior community centers in the 42nd senatorial district.
"We just celebrated Older Americans Month in May and what better way to recognize the importance of staying healthy and connected to our communities is this state investment into our senior community centers," said Senator Fontana. "These centers are invaluable assets in our neighborhoods and I am proud to have supported these awards."
Senator Fontana has secured over half a million dollars in state funding for senior community centers in the 42nd District in the past two years.
The Senior Community Center Grants are administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Aging and are funded from proceeds from the Pennsylvania Lottery.
