FEMA's online status tracker is the fastest and easiest way for you to see the latest updates and next steps needed on your application to keep your recovery moving forward. Your account is accessible 24/7 on DisasterAssistance.gov.
Your Application Status
Log into your account using the FEMA Application Status Tracker. Your
Application Status will provide information on:
What Are My Next Steps?
Additional Information May Be Needed
After you apply, sometimes FEMA will need additional information like
an insurance settlement, copy of a receipt for disaster costs, or documents
that confirm your identity and where you live.
Look for the section labeled "Your Next Steps" to see which documents FEMA
needs from you and where you upload those documents.
If you are having problems with uploading your documents, there are a few other ways to do that.
P.O. Box 10055 Attn: FEMA
Hyattsville, MD 20782-8055
Include your name, the last four digits of your social security number, your FEMA Application Number xxx-xxxx-xx and the FEMA Disaster Number: DR-4933-IN on all pages.
My Status has Not Moved Forward, What Can I Do?
If your account status has not changed or is "Pending", double-check Your Next Steps to ensure you haven't missed anything. An "Under Review" status on your account can mean several different things. You may also call 800-621-3362 and ask if you need to submit any other documentation.
Pending Inspection:
Your home hasn't been inspected yet. Answer the inspector's call to schedule.
Case is waiting to be Reviewed:
Your documentation has been received and is waiting to be reviewed. Once reviewed your status will be updated.
Additional Documentation is Needed:
FEMA Decisions and Appeals
If you are approved for FEMA assistance, the tracker will show the amount and what it can be used for.
If you disagree with FEMA's decision, you can appeal the decision. Appeal instructions and forms are included in the documentation FEMA sent to you. Read it carefully to see what it is you need to do. You can use the Upload Center in the Status Tracker to submit additional documents like repair estimates, repair bills or lodging receipts. Then we will take another look at your case.
If you need more help understanding your application status, you can:
