City Seeks Input for Murphy Park Overhaul

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (December 14, 2025) - New Brunswick officials are seeking your feedback for a planned, significant renovation of Murphy Park, a 3.5-acre recreational space located in the Rutgers Village/Edgebrook section.

Community members are encouraged to complete a 10-question survey to suggest potential improvements. Ideas being considered include a walking/running loop, new athletic amenities, a splash pad or other water features, and a picnic area with a pergola.

The park, accessible from Pennington and Tunison roads, now offers playgrounds, sports fields, and shaded picnic areas. A public meeting will take place in early 2026 to gather additional input.

The survey can be found here.
