Israel – Incidents at the Philharmonie de Paris concert hall (07.11.25)

The incidents that occurred yesterday evening at the Philharmonie de Paris concert hall during a performance by the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra are unacceptable. The actions taken to disrupt the performance, including the lighting of flares and attempts to intimidate artists and the audience, are irresponsible and dangerous.

France reiterates its opposition to all types of boycotts against artists and its commitment to artistic freedom and the respect of cultural institutions. These spaces must remain open and protected from any type of violence or pressure. We will continue to champion dialogue, culture and mutual respect in an international context marked by strong tensions.

France reaffirms its absolute commitment to the fight against anti-Semitism. No expression of anti-Semitism will be tolerated in our country.
