Woman Fatally Injured in Sunday Morning Crash

Speeding appears to be a contributing factor in this morning's single-vehicle fatal crash at 860 Murfreesboro Pike, the entrance of

Summit East Nashville Apartments, that claimed the life of a 28-year-old Nashville woman. Work continues to notify her next-of-kin.

The preliminary investigation shows that the victim was traveling in a Ford F-150 inbound on Murfreesboro Pike when the pickup truck traveled onto a curb and up an embankment before flipping down the embankment onto its side. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected. She was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she died.
