GDOT District 3 was awarded 2 new projects in August 2026

The first investment of this month is in Bibb County. A new roundabout project will be on State Route 41/ SR 247 at Anthony Road and CR 5481. The cost is approximately $3.3 million. The contract was awarded to R. M. Concrete Specialist, LLC

The second investment is in Houston County and includes 6.8 Miles of milling, inlay, and plant-mix resurfacing; it involves milling and resurfacing with plant mix on State Route 127 beginning north of Gray Road and extending north of Cantrell Road. The approximate cost of the contract is $3.7 million and was awarded to Reames and Son Construction Company, Inc.

Start dates have not been established for any of the contracts and are not scheduled.
