Defence Minister's meeting with the representatives of Fincantieri Group


On Friday, September 26th, Minister Liviu-Ionuț Moșteanu received the visit of the representatives of the Italian shipbuilding company, Fincantieri Group, at the MoND headquarters.


The talks focused on the Romanian Naval Forces' procurement and modernization programs and the ways in which they can benefit from the investments made by Fincanteri Group in Romania, in Tulcea and Brăila shipyards.


Also, the officials addressed our country's participation in the "Safe Action for Europe" Instrument (SAFE), which emphasizes the major involvement of the European defence industry - including in partnership with third countries, such as Ukraine - in the development, production and integration of military equipment, with a minimum of 65% of components manufactured on the European Union's territory.
