Executive Vice-President Virkkunen hosts dialogue on EU cybersecurity policy

Today, Executive Vice-President for Technological Sovereignty, Security and Democracy Henna Virkkunen is hosting an implementation dialogue in Brussels focused on EU cybersecurity policy.

The goal is to gather insights on where and how the implementation of the cybersecurity framework can be further facilitated or simplified, while maintaining a high level of cyber protection.

Executive Vice-President Virkkunen said: 

"I look forward to hearing the insights and experience of businesses at today's dialogue. Together, we will reflect on how we can fortify our systems and infrastructures in the context of growing threats and facilitate compliance to achieve most effective results that would benefit businesses and consumers alike." 

This dialogue will help prepare work on the 'Digital Omnibus', set to be presented later this year. It will also feed into the revision of the Cyber Security Act aimed at strengthening the EU's resilience against rising cyber threats.
